Urban Climatology at AAG New York 2001
The 97th Annual Meeting of the Association of American
Geographers will be held in New York City from Tuesday, 27
February - Saturday, 3 March 2001 in New York City, NY. A series
of sessions on "The Physical Geography of the City" is planned,
currently being organized by John Arnfield (Ohio State) and Larry
Band (North Carolina, Chapel Hill). One or more of these
sessions will address urban climatological issues.
If you are interested in taking part in the NY AAG urban climate
session(s), please proceed as follows.

possible expressing interest and indicating a provisional
title for your presentation.
(2) Read the "Call for Program Participation" available in the
"AAG Newsletter", volume 35, number 5 (May 2000) or online
at http://www.aag.org (follow the "Conferences and Meetings"
link).
(3) Send the required materials (disk version and paper copy of
abstract, program participation form and program
participation fee) to me to arrive by Friday, August 25th.
(Note this is one week earlier than the published deadline
for individual papers to permit time to organize the
sessions.)
