MEGAPOLI

The FP7 EU MEGAPOLI project (Megacities: Emissions, urban, regional and Global Atmospheric POLlution and climate effects, and Integrated tools for assessment and mitigation; http://megapoli.info) brings together 27 leading research groups from 11 European countries, state-of-the-art scientific tools and key players from countries outside Europe to investigate interactions among megacities, air quality and climate. The project includes both basic and applied research, and bridges spatial and temporal scales connecting local emissions, air quality and weather with climate and global atmospheric chemistry.

MEGAPOLI is a 3-year (1 Oct 2008 – 1 Oct 2011) project coordinated by the Danish Meteorological Institute (http://dmi.dk), and funded by the European Commission through Framework Programme 7.The FP7 EU MEGAPOLI project (Megacities: Emissions, urban, regional and Global Atmospheric POLlution and climate effects, and Integrated tools for assessment and mitigation; http://megapoli.info) brings together 27 leading research groups from 11 European countries, state-of-the-art scientific tools and key players from countries outside Europe to investigate interactions among megacities, air quality and climate.
