Second MILAGRO Science Conference
May 15-18, 2007, Mexico City
Overall Objectives:
- Overview and status reports from major components (MCMA-2006, MAX-Mex, MIRAGE-Mex, INTEX-B).
- Updates from Working Groups
- Progress on preparation of publications from designated lead authors
(Report on findings to date and identify remaining issues) - Presentation and discussion of results of individual studies
- Identification of cross-cutting issues, model-measurement comparisons; ground-based and aircraft- or satellite based measurements, etc.
- Identification of gaps and needs and new work
- Discussion of key findings for report to government agencies

The deadline for registration is April 4, 2007.
The poster size
for presentations is 4' tall x 6' wide. The guidelines are similar to the AGU poster guidelines which can be found here. To clarify, poster size guidelines for the AGU meeting are 3.5' tall by 6' wide.
Passport/Visa Information:
(a) Please note for US citizens, you do not need VISA to enter Mexico. However, as of January this year, passports are required for US citizens for entry in and out of Mexico
(b) If you are traveling with US government passport, you will need clearance from US Embassy. Please contact us for more information.
(c) For non-US citizens, please check with the Mexican authority regarding Visa requirements to enter Mexico. Information is available at SRE website: http://www.sre.gob.mx/
You should plan to apply for Visa as early as possible. Let us know if you need Invitation Letter for the VISA application. SRE is also our host for the Conference.

The SRE is conveniently located in the Mexico City Centro Historico (downtown), right in front of the Alameda Central, just 20 minutes by car from the Mexico City International Airport, and close to a number of city attractions and landmarks, including the Palacio de Bellas Artes (Museum of Fine Arts), the Casa de los Azulejos, the Franz Mayer Museum, and the Templo Mayor archaeological site.

Accommodation
Two hotels were selected as accommodation options for you to stay and attend the meeting. Both hotels are within walking distance (5 - 10 min) to the SRE. Both hotels are offering a special rate for the conference: the MILAGRO rate. When reserving your room, at either hotel, always ask for the “MILAGRO Group” rate.
